Job Description
:Key responsibilities:
- You will be key technical lead in all areas of electrical hardware design such as hardware architecture, EE component selection, PCB layout & construction, peripheral interfaces, manufacturability, serviceability and reliability
- Manage and execute all aspects of discrete electronic/technology development through all facets of the product development cycle
- Detail design work using electronic hardware development software
- Use CAD for the design and support of PCB layouts and complex circuit board assemblies
- Translate system performance and operation specifications into hardware requirements, component selection, design and test specifications
- Lead design changes and reviews
- Provide technical support to ensure a successful launch of a product
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Work with the sales department and customers to collect design inputs
- Work with vendors to collect feasibility information
- Collaboratewith software and firmware development team
- This function extends to the areas of resolving quality issues with new and existing products, including relevant customer quality forms and interaction with customers and vendors
- Support the hardware and software development, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, technical documentation and operations teams through the development process
Experience:
- Strong electrical engineering and science fundamentals
- Strong schematic capture and PCB layout design experience
- Hands-on prototype bring-up, debugging, and functional verification experience
- Excellence in the following areas: system integration and validation, analog design, signal and power integrity, embedded system design, various communication protocols (especially PCIe, USB, SPI, I2C and UART).
- Strong understanding or experience with one or more of the following component technologies: RF design, BLE and other wireless technology, semiconductor manufacturing, sensor design and integration and IC packages.
- 5+ years experience bringing electronic devices to market
- Strong analog and mixed signal circuit design fundamentals
- Demonstrated success launching products in a regulated environment
Education:
- A Bachelor's, Master's or PhD of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent is preferred. Additional study in Physics, Material Science, or Chemistry is a plus.
