Job Description
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience
- 10 years of experience working in the areas of network management systems, device qualification with a device manufacturer, and/or network service provider
Preferred qualifications:
- Masters degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Knowledge of developing technologies in the industry, through open source like OpenConfig and standards bodies
- Lead a team of Network Test Engineers and Software Engineers to create and maintain the infrastructure to qualify vendor networking devices to be used in Google s global network. Use this infrastructure to run a continuous testing pipeline for a variety of vendor devices.
- Use your technical expertise to guide the creation and execution of test plans as code, for device qualification.
- Collaborate with partner teams to help build and evolve the lab infrastructure to enable testing.
- Influence direction/road-map and balance short-term with long-term. Establish team culture focused on engineering, product, operational excellence, and provide mentoring and career management.
- Create a comprehensive operational process to triage, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues in our network by partnering with Site Reliability Engineers and vendors.
