Lead Software Engineer - Frontend @ Pay

 

About the Role:

As a lead engineer, you serve as the technical anchor for the frontend engineering team that supports a product.

You identify and drive architectural changes to accelerate feature development or improve the quality of service (or both).

You create, own and are responsible for the application architecture that best serves the product in its functional and non-functional needs.

You have experience in creating & working with PWA, SPA s, data-intensive apps, dashboards, Web & Application Security (Server & Cloud) & creating test cases etc

You will identify misalignments with goals, objectives, and work direction against the organizational strategy. Makes suggestions to course correct

What you ll be doing:

Leading a team, Collaborate with the team to deploy and continuously improve our solutions

Design high-quality product components in alignment with Product Architect to be then implemented by Scrum Teams. Proactively identify product gaps and address them

Lead software design/code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to company standards

Contributes technical expertise to help determine requirements and functional specifications for the entire system.

Mentor/coach junior resources in the team and in the organization.

What you would need to bring to the table:

Experience in HTML, Javascript, CSS, LESS, SAAS and general Web 2.0 techniques

Understanding of web bundling tools like Webpack, ParcelJS, Rollup.

Experience in React Redux Framework and good understanding of basics of these frameworks and their life cycles.

Background in the latest frontend technologies (e.g. ecma 6, ecma 5, Webpack, Grunt etc.)

Command on impressive portfolio of the latest UI technologies is a plus

In-depth knowledge of at least JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Redux, Angular, etc.) & library e.g jQuery

Good understanding of backend systems i. e. web services, APIs from a consumer perspective

Experience in TDD (Test Driven Development) for Unit Testing with libraries like Jasmine, Mocha, Simon, Karma etc.

Basic knowledge of Node Js will be a plus

Extensive knowledge of Web page optimization.

Understanding of network layer, HTTP, HTTPS, cookies, local storage.
