ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Engineer for position Lead Software Engineer for Jira and Confluence with very good analytical, communication and design skills complemented with strong fundamentals in relevant technologies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering on key projects within the area, guiding the technological direction and, in conjunction with product development and management, defining best practices for Jira and Confluence. In FY20, key projects include scaling software capitalization across the FactSet development teams and executing on MA integrations for Jira and Confluence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, Estimate, Design, implement and unit test software modules to address business requirements
• Perform design and code reviews
• Manage releases, bug fixes in timely manner
• Ability to mentor junior team members
• Desire to learn about various metrics involved in FactSet s business
• Active participation in the team during meetings
• Manage tasks independently and deliver in a deadline focused environment
• Work in Agile Software Development environment

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Experience with Jira and Confluence administration and development.
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills
• Strong design and technical skills (c#/Java, PowerShell,HTML, Javascript )
• Experience in Linux administration/AWS
• Exposure to Object Oriented Programming Practices and design patterns
• Exposure to software configuration and release managementAbility to design software modules with all aspects like maintainability, reusability, performance
• Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks
• Exposure to client side scripting
• Good relational database skills (PostGres,Sql Server, MySQL, Oracle)
• Zeal to learn and explore new technologies
• Effective communication and organizational skills within a team
• Experience in jira administration /groovy will be added advantage

QUALIFICATIONS

• 8-15 years of relevant industry experience (Jira and Confluence)
• Educational Qualification: B.Tech / B.E or higher degree in computer engineering or equivalent
