Job Title: Data Scientist with Fraud Analytics Experience
Location: Bangalore
Experience: 2-5 years
Role Description
Develop Machine Learning models for the Fraud Analytics Practice
Responsibilities
- Understand different types of Frauds detected at workplace and work on creating algorithms that can detect Frauds
- Convert clients business problem into statistical problem and develop appropriate solutions
- Developing suitable Machine Learning models to detect Fraud
- Leveraging knowledge and experience in Machine Learning to improve existing solutions and design bespoke solutions.
Professional Experience
- 2 years of experience in developing Machine Learning and specifically at least 6 months to 1 years on Analytics solutions for problems related to Fraud.
- Hands-on experience in creating and developing fraud solutions in the BFSI / Healthcare / Telcom domains
- Experience in detecting Fraud at the workplace would be an advantage.
- Presentation of solutions/ analysis to leadership/key stakeholders
Technical Knowledge and Programming
- Proficient in open source programming including Python or R
- Data cleaning and preparation (Missing value handling, Pipelines)
- Develop Regression based models, Support Vector Machines, Random Forests & Neural Networks for Fraud Analytics
- Data visualization using POWER BI or Tableau or any other visualization tool is desirable
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience/understanding on at least one of the tools like SAS, SQL, SPSS etc. is desirable but not a must
Project Specific Skills
- Should have experience in working on biased data samples and techniques like SMOTE, Over-sampling and Under-Sampling
- Understanding of different methodologies that can be adopted to develop a fraud analytics solution
- Understanding of the different analytics techniques that can improve detection mechanisms.
- Strong understanding of statistical techniques.

Academics
Preferred Graduate B-Tech / BE or B.Sc. in Statistics / Economics / Mathematics
