Responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated, self-driven engineer to join our mission and contribute to the platform to serve data and AI/ML solutions.

• Lead, coach and mentor a team of 5-10 engineers so they all learn, grow, and succeed.
• Plan and prioritize work for your team, including collaborating with partner organizations.
• Work with Program Management counterpart to define and design new features.
• Create an inclusive environment that attracts and retains high-performing engineers.
• Constantly learn and grow as an engineer and an engineering leader.
• Designing and developing data solutions that respond in real time and is of high quality.
• Design and implement new features and enhancements to our platform that require hard real-time constraints and elegant, yet powerful software solutions at scale.
• Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code
• Participate in design discussions about new features and ensure real-time technology integrates seamlessly with other pieces of the platform

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• BS/MS/PHD degree in Computer Science or related technical field and strong theoretical fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, time complexity and space complexity, etc.)
• 10+ years working on Big Data and Data pipelines
• 3+ years of experience in People Management
• Expertise in Python or equivalent programming language [ GoLang, Java, C++ etc]
• Expertise in SQL and NO-SQL databases
• Passionate about designing elegant ETL pipelines
• Experience and expertise in Azure, Databricks, Spark, Hadoop, the ELK stack, Kafka etc.
• Expertise and experience in building Large Data Lakes and data warehouses
• Excited to work as part of diverse team and collaborate across geographies.
• Independent, self-driven person with a high sense of accountability.
• Excellent problem solving and data analysis skills. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written and a great team player.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in big data, data science and data analytics is highly desirable.
• Cloud and services experience, with Azure cloud experience highly desirable.
