Senior Cloud Engineer - Pune - Deutsche Bank

Your key responsibilities

The Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for engineering activities for automation within Cloud Centre of Excellence. You will be involved in the development and delivery of automation assets.

The position is for an experienced Automation Engineer with sound knowledge of development and has good exposure to cloud computing, infrastructure virtualization and compute platforms.

• Participate in the design of service automation in cloud.
• Interface obtaining and processing requirements in order to transform application delivery for cloud in an agile fashion
• Drive orchestration in cloud using Infrastructure-as-code while providing self-service capabilities to Cloud Ops team.
• Be on the toes, develop quick PoC s/PoT s and demo to the concerned stakeholders at the end of each sprint.
• Maintain adherence to architectural standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines, usability design standards, etc.
• Actively participate in introspective sessions at the end of sprint, provide feedback regarding development and engineering methodologies, standards and leading practices.
• Identify potential points of contention for missed activities. Develop and document proposed changes that need to be implemented or integrated across the working platforms
• Create and maintain self-service automation capabilities to the existing infrastructure
• Bring technical direction and support throughout the process of implementing new systems
• Review technical requirements and functional documents based on business requirements
• Review commonly occurring issues, identify the pattern, design the solution aligned with the framework, develop the solution to automate recurring issues.
• Design build Cloud Automation framework to accommodate subsequent automatable solutions.

Your skills and experience

• Must have at least 15 years overall experience with 5 years relevant hands on experience in development of Cloud Automation projects.
• Must be certified (associate or higher) from one or more of Hyperscalers - GCP, Azure and hands-on experience in developing solutions on these cloud providers
• Terraform and scripting knowledge is a must.
• Exposure and good understanding in core tenants to be considered when designing, developing deploying to a Cloud.
• Good understanding on Software Defined Environments and Pattern Based deployments (say Ansible, Python, vRA/vRO).
• Strong skills on one or more of the above technologies with an ability to quickly build and demonstrate Proof of Concepts and Proof of Technologies and contribute to Technology Innovation and Automation projects.
• Bachelor s degree (or above) in Computer Science or related fields.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work under pressure.
