Principal Engineer I , SW Android @ Harman Connected

• Understand requirements and translate designs and wireframes into code

• Ensuring that design and development comply with specifications provided

• Understand and support the software technology stack to meet company objectives

• Collaborate with the team members to plan, develop, and deliver requested features

• Contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle

• Write well-design, efficient, and testable code

• Maintain code quality and continuous code evaluation

Required Skills :

• Masters Degree or higher in Computer Science or similar education

• 9+ years experience in developing Android applications, iOS is a plus

• Familiarity with Android Development Stack, iOS is a plus

• Proficiency in using Android tools: Android SDK, Native Development Kit (NDK), Android Studio

• Expert knowledge in Kotlin and Java, C++ is a plus

• Strong understanding and usage of Java Native Interface (JNI)

• Strong understanding and usage of Kotlin Coroutines

• Proficiency in object-oriented programming and STL

• Ability to conduct software analysis, troubleshooting applications and software components

• Ability to work well in a team

• Strong communication skills

• Excellent English language skills. German language is a plus.

• Experience in developing Navigation Applications and Location Based Services is a plus
