Job Description
Technical Lead
We are looking for a talented engineering leader for our team. Don't think you have all the skills required for this role That's okay - as a start-up company value, we are committed to hiring great people and helping all of our employees learn and grow. In this role, you will lead the engineering team to develop, maintain and scale our consumer and enterprise applications. You will be a key part of setting both the short and long-term plans for the team and then coordinating across Engineering and other functional areas to execute on building the product. Your team will be working across
the engineering stack from the back end and the APIs to the user interface, for which you will be expected to help guide the architectural and technical standards.
The Impact Youll Make
Youll be collaborating with product managers, designers, other engineering teams to plan, scope, build, and deploy a brand-new product line
Provide architectural guidance and oversight for any project the team is involved in.
Develop coding standards, methodology, and repeatable processes
Apply project management skills/techniques and direct the work of team members
Ensure project quality meets standards through critical metric identification and testing plan
Support continuous improvement efforts to proactively identify potential challenges to customer success and business efficiency
Education/Experience
Skills Youll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience building production web and/or mobile application in a corporate or start-up environment.
Minimum 2 years of experience in managing/leading a team of 3-5 engineers.
Experience architecting and leading multi-person technical projects
Experience mentoring more junior and mid-level engineers
Experience with (or willingness to master) our stack: Ruby on
Rails/PostgreSQL/AWS/React.JS
Experience in working on Fin-Tech / Payments or Investments product is a plus.
