Job Description
To look after complete operation of Boilers, all turbines & its auxiliaries
To continuously monitor and control boiler and turbine operations as per plant requirement
Responsible for the start up, routine operations & shutdown of the equipments- Boilers/ Turbines and its auxiliaries
To adjust fuel nozzle, and operate de-super heater spray in super-heater zone.
To maintain quality of water in boiler by adjusting blow-down.
To operate & monitor turbo driven feed pump operations
To maintain steady and safe drum level as and when required.
To maintain safe level of water in de-aerator.
To start and stop and operate pulverize.
To maintain constant pressure and temperature of steam to topping turbine for maximum power generation
To operate various reducing stations.
To track all critical parameters of the equipment in log sheet as well as in soft record
To trouble shoot and take necessary corrective actions as per the plant requirements to resolve the issues/ problems
Responsible for proper working of cooling water pumps, IBD, CBD pumps etc.
To lubricate all parts of pumps.
To operate sophisticated turbine like topper and low pressure turbine having different system of controls, and hence to have a considerable understanding and judgment for power transfer and balancing of steam power-load.
To carry out job independently.
To carry out such other job & jobs incidental to all these work as required or as per instructions of superiors.
