Software Test Engineer - Pune - Plex - 4 to 9

Responsibilities :

• Both manual and automated testing
• Comfortably run and read automated test scripts, own prioritization of use cases to be scripted, contribute to code reviews, write medium-high complexity test scripts independently and i dentify opportunities to automate functional tests
• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Managers , and Software Quality Engineer s in test plan creation execution to ensure proper test coverage and rigor
• Serve as a test lead or point person for providing testing estimates and communicating test plan, report metrics and conduct reviews/audits to ensure that all project work and deliverables consistently meet Product Quality standards
• Support and mentor other Software Test Engineers
• Become a SME in the product domain
• Map business and technical requirements into test cases and /or test scripts
• Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of quality assurance best practices
• D ata analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities
• R eporting team/project metrics

Requirements :

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

• 4+ years direct experience supporting or testing major application product release

• Strong knowledge of quality best practices and methodologies for software testin g

• Experience with JMeter, Selenium WebDriver, or other open source/commercial market-leading solutions for functional, regression, or performance test automation

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment with both on-shore and off-shore resources

• Data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities

• Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Strong technical aptitude, time management and organizational skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Expertise working with one or both of C#/.NET ecosystem or Java/JVM ecosystem

• Experience with relational databases and SQL

• Strong analytical skills and ability to multi-task day-to-day activities

• Understanding of relational database concepts and SQL language

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of C#/.NET or Java/JVM ecosystem

• Experience with Azure and other Microsoft technologies

• Experience with ERP solutions is a plus; preferably Plex or other manufacturing focused solutions

• Knowledge of ASP (VBScript), ASP.NET (C#) or MVC

• Knowledge of cloud-based automation

• Experience with Jira/Confluence and qTest Manager
