Job Description
OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Test Manager, the Software Development Engineer in Test works with a small team of Test Engineers within the Quality Assurance Team on all stages of the software development lifecycle. Software Development Engineer in Test works closely with cross functional teams including Product and Project Managers, Development and Business Stakeholders to deliver high quality products and services to our clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Candidate is responsible for developing Java automation framework for testing highly scalable and data heavy financial products using Java and Selenium
- Design, Build, Troubleshoot and Maintain existing / newly created frameworks
- Design, Prepare, Execute and Maintain test cases to perform manual testing for several applications
- Candidate is expected to participate in scrum meetings and advocate for all aspects of Quality
- Candidate is responsible to build and maintain QA environment including managing CI/CD pipelines
- Candidate is responsible for creating test data using SQL and create mock services to test APIs
- Candidate should be willing to contribute towards Manual or Functional and any other type of Testing. This will form approx. 30-40% of the overall profile
- Flexible to learn new process / technologies as per the team needs & expansion
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related discipline required
- Experience of 2-4 years in Automation-cum-Functional testing.
- Candidate needs to have sound knowledge of any high-level programming language like Java, C#, C++
- Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC and has aptitude to identify bugs and strong desire for Quality
- Candidate should have good RDBMS and SQL knowledge
- Knowledge on Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools preferred
- Excellent Problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Candidate should possess Entrepreneurial mindset and should have CAN DO attitude
- Preferably based in Mumbai or willing to relocate to Mumbai
Shift: Regular business hours but need to be flexible to support project deliverables
