Role Description:
The Automation developer is responsible to design and write programs that run automatic tests on new or existing software. He/She is responsible to use Automation Framework with Standardized Guidelines to build these programs and write test scripts that do the testing.
Key Responsibilities:
Ability to use any test automation tools used at work/on the project to create / maintain Automated Test Scripts using proper design patterns/architecture.
Ability to create/maintain/support an automation framework in order to create a test environment for current and upcoming projects.
Maintaining test scripts inventories.
Ability to create test plan/strategies for Automated Test Script execution.
Creating required Test data for Test cases.
Have an excellent knowledge of the software architecture within projects.
Communicating results to stakeholders and project members.
Reporting defects/issues found during the execution of the automated regression suite to Manual Testers/Product analysts to verify and Report them.
Ability to train new colleagues and coaching them.
Doing peer-review/code-review.
Ability to think outside the box in order to find solutions to get the work done.
Providing weekly status on project progression, providing suggestions to improve efficiency on daily basis.
