Role Description - Summary
This role is to support Corporate Bank Business Finance teams supporting Corporate Treasury Services (CTS) and Institutional Client Services (ICS) business with major coverage for EMEA region and in turn guide the Business to effectively manage expectations in terms of revenue flash, closing monthly books, Daily P&L and output delivery with utmost accuracy.
Responsibilities / Tasks
Month End Close:

• Monitor revenue flash & actual and commentary wrt business drivers for EMEA Corporate Treasury Services (CTS) and Institutional Client Services (ICS) EMEA as well as at a Global level.
• Perform month end close activities: accounting journals in SAP, CRES submissions, MRP, Analytical Review and V&C as per control frameworks.
• Analyzing and resolving validation errors and intra/inter entity breaks within defined timelines.
• Perform adhoc analysis to partner with stakeholders and live the Team Extension Model
• Partner with multiple senior stakeholders create and drive key strategic initiatives in performing high end Analytics to support decision making for Corporate Treasury Services (CTS) and Institutional Client Services (ICS) Finance and Business
• Play a key role in driving Continuous Improvement, Standardization and efficiency initiatives
• Risk Monitoring & reporting including periodic submission of Regulatory reporting and HO Disclosures
• Prepare critical Business MIS with sound analysis on the trend and supporting commentary for significant moves in business.
• Responsible for ensuring that KOPs are reviewed for relevance and effectiveness on a timely basis.
• Support Control initiatives for the business.
• Analyzing movements in P&L and B/S for EMEA Corporate Treasury Services (CTS) and Institutional Client Services (ICS) and providing meaningful commentary on movements as per SoX guidelines.
• Ensure quality of delivery is maintained as per the SLA
• Balance Sheet Substantiation under own remit.
• Facilitate CTB initiatives and drive continuous improvement within the team
• Quarterly disclosure submissions as per regulatory guidelines.
• Client MI and Business reports submission as per timelines.
• Support the business in restructuring & restatement activities.
• Escalate all issues in time, to the appropriate level, to avoid any adverse impact on the business.
• Play a key role in developing junior staff at the Analyst and Senior Analyst level.
• Support special Corporate Bank Projects driven by the management team.
• Gain a thorough knowledge of Corporate Treasury Services (CTS) and Institutional Client Services (ICS) Business and products.
• Be client centric and help creating tangible benefits.

Product Control:

• Daily production and analysis of risk and PnL of Trading books
• Liaise with the trading desk to explain risk and PnL move and obtain trader sign off.
• Ability to price various financial products using DB analytics tools.
• Understanding various components of DBRat (valuation platform), work may involve configuring risk and pricing dictionaries.
• Understanding of financial product types and their associated risks as well as major industry pricing models and discounting methodologies.
• Understanding of market data errors impacting risk and PV and their resolution in a timely manner.
• PV/MTM adjustments, Cash breaks, Market Var outliers and Market Confirmation exceptions are resolved within the agreed deadlines.
• Stakeholder management by liaising with traders, market risk, finance, GVG, business & financial control and resolving their queries in a timely manner.

Experience / Exposure

• Financial Markets or Global Transaction Banking experience preferred
• Strong Accounting, Quantitative and Analytical skills
• Advanced to Expert user of MS Office

Education / Certification/ Skills

• CA, CFA or MBA in Finance with minimum 5 yrs of experience.
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a fast paced environment.
• Experience of handling small teams will be an added advantage
• Ensure team work culture is practiced
• Ability to learn quickly in a time sensitive environment
• Strong analytical / problem-solving skills
• Well organized & able to clearly present results of work
• Be comfortable & willing to drive process improvement
