Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
To ensure the efficient accounting operation of the Company and handle all accounting activities in order to achieve compliance with the accounting and taxation framework
Key Accountabilities:
- To monitor day-to-day accounting and book-keeping operations
- To monitor billing and collection process, purchase and vendor reconciliations
- Responsible for vendor ageing and effective payment management
- Responsible for monthly book-closing activity
- To handle tax compliances (TDS, TCS, VAT, GST) - calculation, payment processing and liaisewith consultants for returns filing
- To assist in Annual audits, Income Tax assessments and VAT/ GST assessments
- To keep up-to-date with the changes in the accounting and tax legislation and propose necessary changes to be compliant with law
- To proactively work towards process improvements and automation
Desired Candidate Profile
(i) Education & Qualifications:
- B. Com/ University degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent
- Semi-Qualified CA / Inter-CA (preferable)
(ii) Work Experience:
- 5 years + in Accounts and Auditing
- Working experience of Tally
- Experience of working in a CA firm is a plus
(iii) Job-Specific Skills:
Good knowledge of Accounting and Taxation
Data reconciliation skills
Excel skills
Analytica lthinking
Ability to read Trial Balance
Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting
systems
Attention to detail
Self-starter with ability to work independently
