Desired Candidate Profile
Data Architect responsibilities and duties :
- Project lead for strategic data engineering clients
- Drive the architecture and design decisions needed to achieve cost-effective and high-performance results
- Mentor big data engineers in software development, technology, and processes
- Cultivate sustained innovation to deliver exceptional products to customers
- Provide solutions for technical escalations that come to the engineering
- Troubleshoot complex issues discovered in-house and in client environments
- Conduct feasibility analysis and produce functional and design specifications for new proposed features
Data Architect qualifications and skills :
- Experience / Education :
- 6 or more years- coding experience in Java, with solid CS fundamentals that include data structure and algorithm design, and the creation of architectural specifications.
- 6 or more years experience contributing to R&D and production deployments of large backend systems, with at least 3 or more years experience supporting big data use cases.
- Prior work implementing professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, documentation, build processes, automated testing and operations
- Knowledge. Expertise handling Spark Ecosystems on Linux platform
- Strong communication and presentation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in technical communications
- Performer. Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast paced environment
- Energy and enthusiasm. Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently
- Energy and enthusiasm. Passion for developing and maintaining a high-quality code and test base, and enabling contributions from engineers across the team
- A true team plater. Strong inter-personal skills and a desire to work collaboratively
