Job Description

Designation: Head - S&D (CAT -4)
Qualification: MBA- Marketing / PGDM in Sales or Marketing
Experience: 18 20 Years (Should have major experience in Ice Cream Sales)
Job Location:Punjagutta, Hyderabad


JOB SUMMARY
Responsible to ensure the Ice Cream / FD production in line with the market requirement and to the maximum capacity utilization in a clean and hygienic environment, execution of Ice Cream / FD products and ensure to promote, develop and expand the business to new territories, while saturating the existing markets with an objective to achieve the budgeted targets of the company.

Key Result Areas:

Operations related activities
1. Ensure to achieve Ice Cream / FD production in line with the market/customer requirement.
2. Ensure timely dispatch of ice-cream / FD in line with the indents and at schedule time.
3. Ensure Budgetary Controls on all the cost parameters.
4. Ensure Safety and Discipline
5. Good House-keeping and cleanliness
6. Implementation of guidelines for energy, water conservation, consumables, Ingredients, manpower cost reduction etc.,.
7. Minimizing the stocks & spares consumption
8. Effective utilization of manpower.
9. Statutory Compliance in the ice-cream/FD Vertical.
10. Ensure maintenance of all records, sending MIS in time and attending to Internal Audit observations.
11. Implementation of guidelines as per GMP, ISO practices.
12. Material balancing of the ice-cream / FD unit wise.
13. Ensuring planning & implementation of preventive & productive maintenance and follow lubrication schedules meticulously.
14. Peoples Performance Management (PMS).
15. Development of new products / variants / SKU
16. Evaluation of Common Operational Procedures (COPs) and initiate measures to take up reduction in COP.

Operation related activities

1. Ensure to achieve Ice Cream / FD production in line with the market/customer requirement
a. Responsible to prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plan, basing on market / customer requirement.
b. To scrutinize production daybook on day to day basis.
c. To ensure that the sufficient Product is available for production as per requirement.
d. Ensure to keep the product in proper condition until it is dispatched.
e. Responsible to supply the quality products to the market without any deviations
f. Following strictly FIFO for finished product, ingredients & Packing materials.
g. All the SOPs and approved recipes are to be followed to get a Superior quality Products
h. All the Customer Complaints are to be attended immediately and both corrective and preventive actions are to be taken to avoid such complaints.
i. New Variants as per business need are to be introduced with the co ordination of the QA team.

2. Ensure timely dispatch of ice-cream / FD in line with the indents and at schedule time.

a. To ensure that the ice-cream is properly processed, loaded into the vehicles and dispatch in line with the indents and at schedule time.
b. To co-ordinate with Incharges - ice-cream to dispatch necessary indents on daily basis
c. To ensure that the process losses are minimized and effective usage of consumables.
d. To ensure that the vehicles are dispatched within the stipulated time.
e. To indent required raw materials, ingredients and packing materials and to follow with the Purchase and Stores to get them in time for continuous production without any break for want of materials.

3. Ensure Budgetary Controls on all the cost parameters
a. To analyze the history and prepare every years budget.
b. Once approved, responsible for continuous monitoring of all budgets.
c. To review the Budget vs Actual for each head, and to control wherever the actual are exceeding the budget.
d. To prepare the revisions necessary to be carried out in the budget basing on exigencies.
e. To analyze every day cost reports and to take appropriate steps to control the costs to be within the standard costs.

4. Ensure Safety and Discipline
a. Responsible to ensure the safety and discipline across ice-cream section.

5. Good House-keeping and cleanliness
a. Responsible to maintain cleanliness inside the plant and outside premises.
b. Responsible to maintain hygienic of all machinery / equipment / instruments.
c. To ensure CIP schedules and manual cleaning schedules are carried out as per plan.
d. To ensure plant hygiene is of international standards and to follow the checklist given for the purpose.
e. Responsible for timely disposal of all types of scrap in consultation with Purchase Manager / Manager Stores.

6. Implementation of guidelines for energy, water conservation, consumables, Ingredients, manpower cost reduction etc.,
a. To ensure implementation of guidelines given for energy, water consumables, Ingredients, manpower conservation etc.,
b. To frame and monitor standards for running hours for machinery for maximum output.
c. Responsible for efficient running of pumps, motors, fans, lights, etc. to conserve energy.

7. Minimizing the stocks & spares consumption
a. Responsible for minimization of stocks & spares consumption by effectively planning and implementing maintenance schedules.
b. Responsible for preserving the used spares and deposit in stores.
c. Responsible for carrying out inspection of spares received from suppliers for quality.
d. Responsible to indent the required spares in time and follow up for getting the indented spares.

8. Effective utilization of manpower
a. To plan for minimum number of personnel to carryout production activities without causing any hindrance to the production.
b. Responsible to identify and submit manpower requisitions to HOD.
c. To plan and use minimum number of Indirect personnel.

9. Statutory Compliance in the icecream/FD vertical
a. Responsible to comply with all statutory legislations, which are in force from time to time.
b. Responsible to liaise with Government and Non-Government agencies as and when required.
c. Responsible to liaise with transporters, labour contractors, etc. for necessary service.

10. Ensure maintenance of all records, sending MIS in time and attending to Internal Audit observations.
a. Responsible to ensure that the full cooperation is given to conduct internal and statutory audit.
b. To go through the audit queries, analyze and initiate compliance action immediately.
c. To ensure that the issues raised in Audit are not repeated again.
d. Responsible to ensure that all MIS reports including finance data are sent to Head Office before 7th of every month.

11. Implementation of guidelines as per GMP, ISO practices.
a. Implementation of guidelines and suggestions given for Good Manufacturing Practices.
b. Understanding, implementing and improvement of quality systems under ISO guidelines.

12. Material balancing of the icecream / FD unit wise.
a. Implementation of guidelines and suggestions given for material balancing with accuracy.
b. Ensure to up-date the data regularly and consolidate the data to carry out the material balancing and submit the same to HOD, before 7th of every month.
c. All the Raw Material and Packing Material Losses are to be analyzed on a day to day basis and effective steps are to be taken to bring them to the minimum.

13. Ensuring planning & implementation of preventive & productive maintenance and follow lubrication schedules meticulously.
a. To plan and prepare preventive maintenance of ice-cream section machinery at different intervals like daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly, etc. as per machinery manuals.
b. To monitor and ensure to carry out the preventive maintenance schedules & Lubrication schedule as per plan.
c. To review the records of the findings of preventive maintenance schedules, after implementation during the visits to all plants.

14. Peoples Performance Management (PMS)

a. Responsible to monitor the performance of the employees of ice-cream section.
b. To ensure that the performance appraisal module and timely sending of data to Head Office on half-yearly basis.
c. To ensure to evaluate manually the performance of the individuals, who are out of the scope of the module and reporting to you.
d. Responsible to identify training needs of the team members and organize the required trainings in coordination with the HR.

15. Development of new products / variants / SKU
a. Responsible to develop new products / variants / SKU in close coordination with the reporting authority.
b. Ensure to standardize the developed recipe as per organization requirement.

16. Evaluation of COPs and initiate measures to take up reduction in COP
a. Responsible to evaluate the COPs
