Job Description
Responsibilities* Determine the client's specifications & wishes and suggest suitable travel packages or services based on their requirements.
* Research and assimilate all information regarding travel destinations such as prices, weather conditions, language, currency, customs, reviews etc.
* Maintain a good relationship with key persons.
* Provide end to end service while organizing a trip from booking the tickets, cruise, reserving the accommodation ,securing rental transportation and creating the itinerary.
* Supply all relevant and essential information to the travelers regarding their travel like guides, itinerary, maps and event programs etc.
* Collect deposits and balances.
* Apply promotional techniques and develop promotional materials to sell travel products - tour packages, itinerary etc.
* Handle unforeseen problems and grievance and determine eligibility for money returns.
* Stay up to date on domestic and international travel trends. Attend webinars, conferences and other educational programs.
* Reach the sales and revenue targets.
* Regularly create and update electronic records of clients and their travel information. Ensure this data is secured and handled appropriately.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree/Diploma in travel and tourism, hospitality business or relevant fields.
* Proven working experience as a travel consultant.
* Strong knowledge of traveling software(GDS systems and computer reservations system) and procedures.
* Critical thinker and problem solver.
* Team Player
* Basic computer skills and software like MS Office.
* Proficiency in English; multilingualism is an advantage.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Efficient negotiation sales and time management skills.
* Up to date with latest domestic and international travel trends.
* Strong read on the rules and regulation of tourism.
* Candidates with rich personal travel experience will be preferred.
* Build and maintain good relationship with vendors- consolidators, Hotel sales network etc(existing relationships may be advantageous).
