Job Description
EIC is a fast growing and dynamic environmental, health and safety consultancy firm with offices in the UAE, India and associates in Canada, USA and Oman. As a part of our expansion drive, we are looking for a highly professional and seasoned Senior Level Environmental Consultant to join our business in the UAE to help deliver environmental and sustainability planning and studies consultancy services for some of the regions prestigious projects.Some of the principal accountabilities of the job are listed below:
Streamline and step up the environmental and ESG related services
Expand business to new service streams within the functional domains of ESG and climate change strategies
Sharpen the revenue optimization by enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of the human resources deployment
Functional deliverables:
Prepare comprehensive environmental reports including, but not limited to, scoping reports, environmental, social and health impact assessment (ESHIA) reports, strategic environmental site assessments, feasibility studies, environmental, social and health management plans (ESHMPs), audit reports, and environmental monitoring reports in line with national laws and regulation, and relevant international standards, guidelines, and best practices, where relevant
Undertake environmental audits and monitoring in line with the relevant procedures and protocols
Consultant with stakeholders and effectively manage sub-consultants
Develop and maintain relationships with clients and regulatory authorities
Support the wider team, including mentoring junior staff as and when required
Provide technical input, co-ordination, review, and direction on projects
Manage project financial performance and meeting profit targets
Prepare and manage multi-disciplinary tenders and seek opportunities for new work
Willingness to travel within the region, including Oman, Bahrain and Qatar
Person specification:
BSc or B.Tech degree level qualified in a relevant environmental related discipline such as environmental planning and management, environmental engineering or civil or chemical engineering
Preference for a Master's degree in environmental planning, environmental management, environmental engineering or related environmental or engineering subject
Over 15 years previous experience working in environmental consulting including providing permitting support, environmental monitoring, environmental management planning, compliance audits, and site assessments for major clients of which atleast 3 years in any GCC country.
Discipline expertise in any of the environmental related subjects such as biodiversity, air quality, climate change, noise, soil and groundwater, marine etc.
Experience of environmental impact identification (ENVID) workshops for infrastructure projects, either as a scribe or preferably as chair
Experience in providing technical alternatives and solutions to technical clarifications and design solutions to the clients in a planning setting
Experience in negotiating with regulators to achieve the best environmental outcome for the client
Significant proofing, editing and report collation experience
Excellent written English and verbal communication, presentation, and organisational skills
Experience of working on multiple projects, simultaneously
Robust project management, time management and financial management skills
UAE or GCC driving license holders preferable.

Salary and benefits:
This is a full-time post based in Dubai or Abu Dhabi with a very competitive employment package commensurate with experience and market dynamics
