Job Description and Desirable Qualifications:
Environmental Engineer: The position will be based at the EIC office in Dubai.
Candidate is required to work on EIA, ESIA, ESA projects with guidance from Senior Environmental Engineers and Technical Leads.
Represent the company to end clients
Ensure that the deliverables for the project fully in accordance with the project requirements.
Key responsibilities of this position include:
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team across a range of industries to assist companies in better understand and develop solutions to respond to the complex and evolving policy, regulatory, and business environment risks and opportunities associated with environmental impact assessments
Collect data and prepare EIA, ESA and ESIA reports for clients across varied industries
Support team leads with client relationships, business development efforts, and drafting thought leadership, as well as internal collateral and pieces of training on sustainability and ESG topics; work closely, but independently, under the direction of Managers and Directors.
Supervise and coach engagement teams to perform fieldwork, including data collection, analysis, and work paper documentation; prepare, edit, and proofread narrative reports and presentations of observations and recommendations.
Day to day management of projects, ensuring quality and liaising with internal and external stakeholders and manage budgets.
Coach junior team members to develop new skills, monitor their performance, support their development and help manage their career growth.
Ability to quickly learn concepts outside of your area of expertise.
Assist with project activities as required to enable a successful delivery
Ability to take ownership for delivering customized projects with a degree of autonomy
Key qualifications for this position include:
A Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in the chemical, marine biology, civil engineering, oceanography or hydrogeology background.
A bachelor's degree or equivalent engineering degree from an accredited university in civil or chemical engineering, hydrogeology, oceanography or marine biology.
Previous work experience with any reputed environmental consultancy is an added advantage.
Experience in the UAE or GCC region is preferable and holders of any GCC D/L given more preference
Must have familiarity with latest environmental standards,, practices and tools, Quality and HSE practices.
Work effectively with peers in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Good command of written and spoken English, Strong oral communication skills.
