Job Description
1 KEEPING UP TO DATE WITH EMERGING FASHION TRENDS, FASHION FORECASTS, COLORS ETC.2. CREATING A RANGE BASED ON A STORY LINE AND INPUTS.
3. SEND THE GARMENT FOR PHOTO-SHOOT AND PLAN THE STYLING.
4. EXAMINE SAMPLE GARMENTS ON AND OFF MODELS; THEN MODIFY DESIGNS TO ACHIEVE DESIRED EFFECTS
5. RESPONSIBLE FOR BUYING, MERCHANDISING & COSTING.
6. COORDINATION & COMMUNICATION WITH VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS, BUYER AND SUPPLIERS & ASSURING TIMELY EXECUTION.
7. UNDERSTANDING DESIGN FROM A TECHNICAL PERSPECTIVE, I.E. PRODUCING PATTERNS AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR DESIGNS.
8. WORKING CLOSELY WITH OPERATIONS TEAM AND SUPPLIERS ON AN ON-GOING BASIS TO ENSURE THE ITEM SUITS THE CUSTOMER, MARKET AND PRICE POINTS.
Required Candidate profile
DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE
GRADUATION FROM REPUTED INSTITUTE.
EXPERIENCE IN WOMEN'S WESTERN WEAR, BOTH KNITS AND WOVEN,
GOOD EXPOSURE TO DOMESTIC MARKET.
WILLINGNESS TO OVERTAKE TOTAL PRODUCTION ACTIVITY.
Fashion Designer Responsibilities:
Managing design process from conception through to final styling.
Conducting market research to identify new trends, fabrics and techniques, and seeking design inspiration.
Collaborating with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to line, and create new concepts.
Ensuring product is in agreement with business strategy.
Selecting fabrics and trims.
Creating production sketches for development packages.
Collaborating with technical designer to ensure development packages are accurate.
Reviewing product for style and fit during presentation.
Presenting story, mood, color boards, and samples to buyers.
Salary- 15000 TO 20000
