Job Description

Overview:
Data Expert to provide data support to Research Specialist. This role will be responsible for collating and verifying data from field team, assisting with data cleanup efforts, decreasing duplicate records. Should have a good eye for details; enjoy solving the puzzle of merging duplicate records, and a meticulous approach to information verification.
Responsibilities
Managing master data, including creation, updates, and deletion.
Managing users and user roles.
Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with quality assurance analysts if
necessary.
Commissioning and decommissioning of data sets.
Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines.
Helping develop reports and analysis.
Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and
metadata.
Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
Assessing tests and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with strategic
decisions on new systems.
Generating reports from single or multiple systems.
Troubleshooting the reporting database environment and reports, escalate based on need.
Evaluating changes and updates to source production systems.
Training end-users on new reports and dashboards.
Providing technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
Execute all regular transaction processes necessary to maintain operations reports / records and databases.
Perform extracting, importing and exporting of data from CAPI (database applications) interviewed information.
Assist in implementation, testing and validating data and software systems.
Perform data analysis of key problem areas to assist in objective based analysis.
Monitor (Audit) on a regular basis to ensure data integrity and quality.
Assist with ongoing data collection processes and governance.
Train staff as necessary on data operational activities.
Perform data reconciliations to identify data anomalies
Perform data quantitative and qualitative analysis create tables, graphs, etc
Assist in preparation of data reports, training materials, presentations, marketing collaterals, and other educational materials.
Assist in maintenance, back up and security of primary / secondary data.
Requirements
Postgraduate in Statistics / Data Sciences / Business Analytics preferably
Knowledge and must have experienced working on statistical tools STRATA, SPSS, R
Ability to read, interprets, and verify data from multiple formats.
In-depth knowledge of data retrieval and storage systems.
Ability to work independently on projects.
Knowledge of computer hardware systems and peripherals.
Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with end-user training and support.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Interpersonal and communication skills. Keyboarding skills.
Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.
Professional and technical writing/editing skills.
Oral communication skills
Graphic design skills
Kannada/English speaking and writing skills
