Intern M Software Engineering @ Juniper Networks

Juniper is looking for an intern to work in its Data Science and Engineering team. The team is responsible for development of Cloud based AI/ML Infrastructure and addressing challenging business critical use cases on this infrastructure. We are looking for an energetic, highly-motivated, fast-learning, self-starter to join the team for the summer 2022 session. The candidate will help with special projects while gaining a unique perspective on building cloud- based AI/ML infrastructure and application of AI/ML techniques in the networking domain.

We re looking for people who are excited about data and applying cutting-edge techniques to analyze and leverage vast amounts of information for insight and action. The right candidate has:

• A strong interest in Data Science and Engineering and related development, exemplified by a solid grasp of concepts in:

• Data Science areas such as Data processing, Machine learning, Deep learning, Natural

• Data Engineering areas such as Map-reduce, Hadoop, Kafka, Spark

• Data Science toolsets/libraries (e.g., Pandas, Keras, Tensorflow, ScikitLearn)

• Tableau and other data visualization tools

• Databases like Relational Databases, No-SQL Databases, Graph Databases and exposure to Associated Query languages.

• Strong fundamental computer science skills, e.g. algorithms, distributed systems, data structures, object-oriented programming, including:

• Strong programming and debugging skills in Python, R

• Familiarity with Linux, Java, C/C++

• Familiarity with Cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or Azure

• And is pursuing an MS degree in CS, CE, or EE

Additional qualities of a successful candidate include:

• Analytical and problem-solving skills

• Demonstrated track record of taking initiative and being resourceful

• Ability to work collaboratively and solve problems

• Strong communication skills, especially written

• Leadership experience, whether formal or informal
