Job Description
Specialism - 3D Animation
We are looking for a 3+ years experienced Technical Manager to plan and direct schedules, monitor the project from initiation through delivery, and organize cross-team activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. To facilitate on-time product delivery, you will work with a variety of stakeholders to prioritize work, identify and resolve dependencies, and maintain organizational focus. You will provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology, and to recommend and justify major changes to existing products/services/processes.
The candidate must possess in-depth functional knowledge of the process area and apply it to operational scenarios to provide effective solutions. He/she must be able to identify discrepancies and propose optimal solutions by using a logical, systematic, and sequential methodology. It is vital to be open-minded towards inputs and views from team members and to effectively lead, control, and motivate groups towards company objects. Additionally, he/she must be self-directed, proactive and seize every opportunity to meet internal and external customer needs and achieve customer satisfaction by effectively auditing processes, implementing best practices and process improvements, and utilizing the frameworks and tools available. Goals and thoughts must be clearly and concisely articulated and conveyed, verbally and in writing, to clients, colleagues, subordinates, and supervisors.
CGI Modelling Lead-Process Manager Responsibilities
- Working across a number of projects especially Product Model Projects and reporting and updating your CGI Manager, Line Manager and Project Manager
- Working from Brief to Delivery along with assistance from Junior CGI Artists to ensure that deadlines are met on time
- Create a perfect model with good knowledge in soft and hard modelling including UV MAPPING
- Proactively develop your personal and technical skills to help push boundaries when delivering on projects
- Provide in-person technical assistance to people in creative departments
- Support or troubleshoot the pipeline and workflow tools
- Ensure and maintain the expected render time, quality and style across the production
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate or HSC with Diploma with a certification in 3D Animation
- 5+ years of experience in CGI production with 3+ years in a leadership role
- Fluent in 3Ds Max, Maya, Vray & Photoshop
- Strong technical proficiency in understanding proprietary tools and technology
- Strong technical skills (2D, 3D, Compositing)
- Expertise in 3D in Modelling and Unwrapping, Texturing, Lighting and Rendering
Shift Timings 6 am-2:30pm or 2:30pm-11pm
