Lead Software Engineer - Chennai - Trimble - 5

We are looking for a full stack lead engineer with atleast 8 years of experience to perform all stages of the software development life cycle, manage individual deliverables and serve as technical lead for a small team

• Collaborate with business and product teams to gather requirements and business needs.

• Make technical decisions to meet the design goals laid out in product road map and by management

• Identify issues that require more attention and work to resolve issues based on an understanding of the business problem being solved

• Mentor and coach junior team members

• Complete projects/tasks on a timely basis, according to commitments made to stakeholders and management

• Report project/task status to the management

• Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support

• Over 7 years of hands-on experience working with Java preferably Dropwizard framework and Maven build tools

• Strong working knowledge of SQL server database

• Experience with micro-services oriented architecture styles/RESTful APIs and cloud services like AWS is required

• Experience in the tools required in a development lifecycle: build, unit testing, version control, task and defect management, Agile development approaches

• Good communication and interpersonal skills in a strong-matrix organization environment

• Passion to learn new technologies, up to date with the latest best-practices and innovation

• BE/BTech/ME/MTech/M.S. in Computer Science Engineering or an equivalent degree
