Job title: Real Estate Lawyer
Our Client: Our client is a well-established, Bengaluru headquartered full-service law firm. The law firm has handled varied assignments for its clients that vary from domestic and multinational corporations, to financial institutions and individuals of substantial net worth across different practice areas such as business and corporate, real estate, Intellectual Property, labour and employment, litigation and compliance.
Workplace type: Hybrid. Relocation is a must for outstation candidates.
Job location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

Job Description: The role will be reporting to the Partner and has the following responsibilities.
Core Responsibilities
Drafting of leave and license agreement, joint development agreement, co-development agreements, project management agreement and all types of real estate contracts.
Providing legal advice and opinions on property related laws pertaining to all types of land/property based on location, land tenure, asset classes and various issues such as land title, mortgages, charges, easements, etc.
Providing legal advice and opinions on property related regulations and new laws such as RERA and IBC, etc.
Legal documentation and registration
Drafting agreement for sale, lease deed, conveyance deed, deed of declaration, deed of indemnity and all sorts of deeds
Conducting property searches, due diligence and title related requisitions
Verification of original documents
Other Responsibilities
Supervise and guide the internal lawyers in the team.
Other legal matters assigned from time to time.

Essential Criteria
BA LL.B with a PQE of 2 8 years.
Understanding of Real Estate laws including local real estate laws in Karnataka, RERA, Stamp duty and registration laws.
Ability to apply legal knowledge to practical situations, and a solution-oriented, pragmatic approach to balance risk and reward.
Strong analytical skills should be able to use judgment, analyse facts and draw logical conclusions.
High degree of independence, initiative and decisiveness but also a desire to be challenged and think outside the box
Ability to quickly assess risk areas and recommend ways of mitigating or managing them.
Expert-level legal drafting skills
Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
