Desktop Support

Roles and Responsibilities

• OS Installation: Windows, Mac, Linux.
• Strong Troubleshooting knowledge in Windows/Linux Environment Desktop, Laptops and networking.
• Drivers: installation, updating, troubleshooting, error and compatibility handling
• Recovery: system restore, deleted files recovery, partition handling and backup
• Windows Registry, defrag tools and boot up configuration.
• Good knowledge in DNS, DHCP, SAMBA and LDAP user management.
• Good knowledge of LAN, WAN and networking devices like router, switch and firewall.
• Working knowledge of Virtualization tools like virtualbox, vmware etc.
• Basic knowledge of Windows Active directory domain services.
• Hand-on experience in Linux/Unix and any security tool will be an added advantage.
• IT Assets management and audit.
• Address user tickets regarding hardware, software and networking.
• Ask targeted questions to diagnose problems Guide users with simple, step-by-step
• instructions Conduct remote troubleshooting.
• Test alternative pathways until you resolve an issue Customize desktop applications to meet user needs.
• Walk user through installing applications and computer peripherals
• Installation and configuration of Antivirus server and client management.
• Maintaining the server room security and other access control devices.
• Documenting any processes which employees need to follow in order to successfully work within our computing system.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Ensures all the problems are resolving in a timely manner and following SLAs.
• Ability to prioritize a wide range of workloads with critical deadlines.
• Good communication skills.
