Automation Test Engineer
Urgently Hiring for Automation Tester
Location - Chennai
Mode - Work form office
Key Responsibilities
Experience - 2 to 4 yrs
This is a hands-on role which involves working with all Williams lea business teams to define testing requirements, data requirements, revise manual and automation testing strategies with the goal of Maximise the development and usage of automated test scripts, build test plans, use cases, and to work with the business and CoE team to execute the testing phases and provide regular reporting.
Responsibilities
Developing and executing formal test plans within the agreed and approved timelframes schedule
Developing test specifications based on approved requirement documents within the planned timeframes
Creating test scenarios/ test scripts/ test data sheets/ and sample data (If required) to assist the development team in implementing the test approach
Maximise the development and usage of automated test scripts
Setting up and executing tests using both automation tools and manual methods as applicable aligning to overall test strategy defined
Ensure effective testing of the defined solutions through the testing, change management, and production readiness cycles
Document test results and evaluate them to determine defects as per the defect management procedures
Use tools like Jira to record, track and report testing cycles and defects untill closure
Assess and update test plans and documentation
Support the maintenance of deployed solutions, where applicable
Support the training and enablement of new testers and developers
Capture and share learnings from automation implementations
Essential Skills
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or related IT discipline - or equivalent experience
ISTQB Certified Tester
Strong understanding in software Development, Integration, Test Lifecycle
Strong understanding of Agile principles and frameworks
Strong experience of dev-ops tools, techniques, and principles
Strong understanding of the principles for, and benefits of automated testing
Proven track record for delivering automated Integration Test solutions in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated and able to coach/mentor/inspire others in automation best practice, focused on Quality outcomes
Technical knowledge on market leading automation tools, e.g. UiPath, templafy
Good understanding of Software development and common languages e.g C#, C++, Java, .NET
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Strong presentation skills to present test plans, test results to key stakeholder
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent understanding of workflow-based logic and the ability to understand a business process from a workflow diagram
Experience
Experienced in authoring and reviewing comprehensive Test documentation
Experience in developing Test Automation frameworks
Experience with Agile/Waterfall project methdology
Experience in the use of software programming languages
Experience of Software Configuration Management tools
Strong experience with test management, including defect tracking, tools such as Jira
Good experience of using an RPA software e.g UiPath
Desired Skills
2+ Years Consulting background with proven client facing experience
2+ years experience working with marker leading automation Platform
2+ years experience in systems configuration/development, design-focused software development roles (e.g. using C#, C++, Java)
Knowledge of AI and Machine Learning
