Job Description
Position: Public Finance Credit Ratings Analyst (3-5 yrs) (Delhi NCR)
Role :
- Conduct detailed analytical research on Public Finance debt issuers and be responsible for an allocated portfolio. Manage and handle macro database and macro research
- Publish timely, topical and high quality research on Public Finance contributing to the increasing profile of the agency within the debt capital markets
- Conduct analytical reviews of issuers and make presentations to rating committees
- Taking responsibility for allocated portfolio, ensuring timely reviews/rating actions as required.
- Analyse macro-economic data both high frequency and annual and do thematic research on macro-economic data
- Ensure timely reviews/rating actions. Take responsibility for end-to-end completion of the rating process
Requirements :
- Post graduate management/economics degree from a premier institute
- Prior experience in credit analysis and macro economic research is highly desirable. Background of economics and understanding of finances of state governments is desirable but not necessary.
- 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis of entities in the public finance space such as state-owned enterprises, local bodies, municipal corporations and state sponsored Special Purpose Vehicles is desirable.
- Strong financial analytical skills
- Undertake peer group/sectoral analysis and comparison; identify the key financial and operational parameters/drivers of credit profile for any given credit/case
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to connect at senior management level
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PPT
- Must be a strong team player and possess excellent inter-personal skills, with an ability to integrate quickly into an established team and to deal with colleagues and external parties across the region
