Job Description

Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools

Manages and monitors all installed systems and infrastructure for the organization to be in line with company guidelines or SOP (standard operating procedure).

Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions and work with developers to implement those fixes

Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies

Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks

Participate in the design of information and operational support systems

Provide 2nd and 3rd level support

Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

The candidate will grow as a Senior System Engineer in the career ladder of the Engineering team where the scope will increase to managing a module while being responsible for building both HLD LLD

Skills/Strength of an Ideal Candidate

Expert-level knowledge and hands-on experience in supporting managing Windows AD 2008/2012/2016.

Deep knowledge in running/managing DNS, DHCP, and standard TCP/IP Services and Applications in an Enterprise environment.

Experience in designing, deploying, and managing OS Auto Deployments and Fleet/Configuration Management.

Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements

Technical and functional documentation skills.

Implement and support Group Policies

Experience with remote management and IT automation tools

Experience in Incident, Problem, and Change management.

Expert-level knowledge and hands-on experience in configuring and managing Patch Management, current Gen Antivirus/AntiSPAM Solutions.

Have worked on products/solutions using RADIUS, 2-Factor Authentication, and SSH

Proficient in running infrastructure following SLAs, and SLOs and have proven experience in implementing and managing them in start-up/engineering organizations.

Experience in managing MDM solutions like Intune, Airwatch or Jamf

Expert-level knowledge and hands-on experience on OS platforms like Windows, Linux, and macOS.

Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools

Participate in new technology reviews, POCs, and adoption

Experience and awareness of security, audit, risk, and compliance within an enterprise IT environment

Scripting knowledge: Powershell/Python

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

An ideal candidate is someone with 5-6 years total experience and 2-3 years of relevant experience with the above skill-set

Good to Have Skills

Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery

Cloud Platforms knowledge: AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, and Google Suite/Office 365

Experience with Citrix Xenserver, XenDesktop, and XenApp.

Knowledge of network topologies WiFi

Knowledge of Private and Public Cloud
