Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

The Asst. Manager/ Manager-Ad Sales is responsible for develop new business and increase sales volume for both TV revenue by executing plans and strategies set forth by Sales Management. Execute strategies with a sharp customer focus and consistently deliver on revenue expectations

  • Make sales calls on prospective clients and develop new business (NBD)
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to clients
  • Educate customers on the variety of available TV & Digital products
  • Provide clients with information regarding rates for advertising placement on television / OTT
  • Work with clients to develop advertising and promotional campaigns
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of market trends and the media landscape
  • Generate revenue from existing and new accounts in the Media and Entertainment Industry.
  • Ensure revenue maintenance from existing accounts and in turn introduce clients.
  • Own and support the creation and yearly Account Plan(s) for top clients, driving the relationship to ensure retention and capture new opportunities
  • Identify customers that require special project needs, manage, monitor and evaluate these projects to ensure that they meet the customers needs.
  • Formulate and enforce a plan to launch client initiatives upon contract signature and meet ongoing client timelines and requirements.
  • Stay current with changes in the industry, competition, product/service offerings and pricing offered from competitors.
  • Interface and manage relationships and decisions with pricing, sales enablement, strategic accounts.
  • Manage sales enablement tools and processes, pipeline development and maintenance.
  • Partners with marketing team in order to develop sales materials and consider the right opportunities for engagement in our industries (e.g. Industry events, trade shows, associations etc.)
  • Meet budgeted revenue targets by driving business development in new and existing accounts.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of the media and entertainment landscape.
  • Generate accurate sales forecasts and projections
  • Executing the ad sales in the daily coverage of clients and agencies in the ad marketplace, as well as direct clients and media agencies in other areas
  • Responsible for the TV & OTT ad sales process including ratings methodology, inventory, liability/delivery, makegoods, and rate cards


Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Behavioral Competencies: Courage, Customer focus, Negotiation Skills
  2. Technical Competencies: Commercial Acumen, Client and Customer management (External), Financial management and control
  3. Education: Graduate/Post - Graduate Degree
  4. Experience: 02-04 years experience in Media/Entertainment Ad Sales.
