Job Description
Role Summary
We are seeking to recruit an Engineer Piping Stress to join our iCRC engineering department and specifically our Energy & Process discipline helping to contribute towards its continuing success.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers with the preparation and organization of stress calculations
- Identify stress critical lines as per WSP or clients standards
- Perform stress calculations using CAESAR II software in accordance with ASME B31.3 and ASME B31.1. Autopipe and CSA Z662 code experience is considered an asset
- Perform local stress calculations, slug force calculations and flange leakage calculations using company- or industry-approved software
- Perform nozzle load and support load calculations
- Prepare nozzle load and support load reports and stress ISO mark-ups showing re-routing requirements and support types and locations
- Prepare speciality item datasheets for spring supports, expansion joints, snubbers, etc.
- Conduct document checking and design verification tasks in accordance with company and project procedures
- Seek solutions and coordinate work with the piping design group and other departments
- Prepare technical bid evaluations for items such as spring supports and expansion joints
- Supervise and train junior stress engineers
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of piping stress experience
- Knowledge of software like CEASAR 2, and AUOPIPE.
- Graduate/Masters in Mechanical Engineering.
Desirable:
- At least minimum 5 Years of proven industry experience in either FEED and/or detailed design on Oil and Gas or power plant projects.
- Work experience on Canadian/USA projects would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of the French language would be advantageous.
