We are inviting applications for the role of A M, Contract Specialist
In this role, you will be responsible to be the first point of contact to independently draft, review, negotiate and execute warranty assignments for an Aviation client for their customers worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and enforce the wing-to-wing contract process related to channel partners (joint ventures, sales reps, distributors, service providers, etc.) within a broad geographical territory. This includes contract drafting and review, negotiation support & execution of new or renewal agreements, contract administration and contract management of the existing portfolio.
- Develop deep understanding of the Channel onboarding process, including contracts T&Cs and tools, to ensure appropriate compliance and risk mitigation prior to release of a contract to a Channel Partner.
- Ensure all required documentation sets available for documenting contract negotiation and coordinate contract negotiation meeting, if required. Notify various stakeholders of changes to Channel contracts & update records as needed.
- Co-ownership of the Channel Contracts Repository to ensure availability of contracts for functions ( account payable, auditors, com ops)
- Creation and maintenance of a database with key clauses on sales representative active agreements including commission levels.
- Finalize communication with Com ops for the correct interpretation and application of the distributor contractual discount.
- Proactively support Global Channel leaders and Regional Channel leaders in key Channel Partner (CP) initiatives with a focus on improving:
- Onboarding cycle time
- Contract execution time (minimize exposure to expired contracts)
- CP satisfaction
- Sales Representative commission payment process
- Channel Partner commissions process support Channel Ops in the wing-to-wing commission payment process, including :

- liaise with related functions to expedite approvals of commission rates for key deals
- manage and enforce the wing-to-wing commission addendum process, including support & execution
- Ensure documentation, reporting and validation to achieve a timely and accurate commission process.
- Support commission payment process on ERP tool and other tools involved
- Support internal & external audits as required.
- Work on ad hoc projects and act as back-up for other Global Channel Specialist(s), as needed.
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree from an accredited university or college
- Good amount of commercial, compliance, underwriting, experience and dealing effectively with customers and/or channel partners.
- Attention to detail and a heightened sense of teamwork, entrepreneurism and accountability.
- Strong oral and written English language communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills working in a matrix environment.
- Ability to work across time zones in order to support regional activity
- Hardworking with a positive, can-do attitude, and be willing and able to roll up your sleeves to get the goals accomplished.
Preferred qualification:
- Prior experience working with channel partners is strongly preferred.
- Commercial/underwriting experience
- Prior experience in contract negotiation and execution is preferred.
- Knowledge of legal aspects and implications of contracts, terms and conditions, negotiation, etc. to allow constructing contracts with minimizing risk.
