Interfaces with customers, suppliers and program personnel on quality related issues;
Makes the final decision on acceptability of product;
Evaluate the design assurance activities and implementation of production process methodology to prevent impacts to production velocity and quality;
Ensures that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts;
Lead and participate in various teams in support of the unit's ACE goals;
Responsible for both Program and Product Quality Engineering;
Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction;
Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex;
Designs and implements product engineering changes to satisfy quality issues raised by customers;
Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements;
Reviews documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer;
Responsible for development of new inspection technologies or methodologies to assure product conformance;
Leading teams to investigate the root cause of customer escapes and non-conformances and determine appropriate corrective/preventive actions;
Review and approve First Article inspections;
Provide technical guidance and training to OEM Parts Inspectors.
