Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking to hire a skilled PHP developer to design and implement attractive and functional websites for our clients. You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development including the implementation of WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integration and security updates.

To be a successful PHP developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of front-end programming languages, a good eye for aesthetics, and strong content management skills. Ultimately, a top-class WordPress developer can create attractive, user-friendly websites that perfectly meet the design and functionality specifications of the client.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code.

2. Develop, record and maintain cutting edge web-based PHP applications.

3. Secure, high performance and scalable applications using Laravel.

4. Testing and delivering high quality error free applications within a predefined time schedule.

5. Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the User Experience (UX) team.

6. Ensure HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is valid and consistent across applications.

7. Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools.

8. Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to deliver cutting edge solutions that exceed clients expectations.

9. Learn quickly and use modern technologies in a fast paced environment.

10. Lead the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post launch support.

11. Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issues.

12. Document the development process, architecture, and standard components.

13. Maintain code quality using SonarQube.

MANDATORY SKILLS

1. Minimum 2 years of experience in PHP & its frameworks.

2. Minimum 1 year of experience in Laravel Framework.

3. Good understanding of programming concepts.

4. Proficient in HTML, CSS(Bootstrap), JavaScript.

5. Proficient in Laravel Blade templating.

6. Knowledge on how to build and use RESTful APIs.

7. Strong knowledge of version control (i.e. git).

8. Good to have experience in deploying Laravel applications to production.

9. Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure knowledge is a plus.

10.Hands-on experience of working on Linux based systems (Ubuntu).

11. Knowledge of Redis and RabbitMQ is plus.

12. Solid database skills in a relational database (i.e. PostgresSQL, MySQL, etc.).

13. Must have knowledge on building raw queries.
