Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant MS Power BI Developer
In this role, candidate will be responsible for responsible for building, implementing, and supporting Microsoft BI solutions in all stages of BI project work (requirements and logical design, physical design, implementation, testing and deployment). The BI Developer should have a firm grasp of BI implementation methodologies and will have had in-depth experience with the Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS, SSRS and SSAS).
Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing Support and Application Enhancement services in a Database environment.
- Data gathering, research and analytical abilities to develop insightful conclusions and generate solutions to address user needs.
- Create written communication materials that effectively summarize findings and support recommendations.
- Direct quality assurance and user acceptance testing by writing test plans and managing the execution of testing (Unit and UAT)
- Work closely with client across various projects.
- Engage with Client in requirement gathering, Status update on work, UAT and be the key partner in the overall engagement.
- To develop metrics, communicate major achievements, identify potential project risks, provide continuing direction to the project team, conduct regular status meetings to review project activities, and communicate timely updates to management.
- Responsible for managing scope changes and project acceptance procedures.
- To work closely with other members of the department and business to understand complex problems, translate into concise and understandable requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications
- BE/B Tech/ MCA
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of store procedure and SQL, Postgresql
- Demonstrable experience in any Database (Sybase/Oracle PLSQL).
- Experience with the Microsoft BI stack and exposure to other technologies is a plus (Sybase, Oracle, etc.).
- Relational Database and SQL Language
- Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) (Microsoft SSIS)
- Analytics / OLAP Cube Development (Microsoft SSAS)
- Report Development (Microsoft SSRS)
- Data Warehouse / Solution Design
- Dimensional Modelling
- Business Intelligence experience
- Database design and integration experience with SQL Server databases
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solid experience in application troubleshooting in SLA driven environment.
- Experience of using Eclipse, DB tools, Service Now, Autosys, JIRA, Git/Bitbucket.
- Good Understanding of ITIL Methodology & experience in working global teams in a multi-application support environment.
