We're Hiring for QA Automation Lead
Roles & Responsibilities:-
We are seeking an QA Automation Lead on the Reinsurance QA team to lead our transformation from QA (Quality Assurance) to QE (Quality Engineering). In this role, the Lead will be expected to continue to build & revise our automation and performance test strategy. They will need to bring to the role excellent verbal and written communication skills, expertise in automation and performance test, and a passion to have a career in the IT Quality sector. Ultimately, the QA Automation Lead will ensure effective design and implementation of automation and performance test to move into a true CI/CD model where we have the correct processes (compliance included) to move things into production as needed.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Experience with designing and maintenance of automation frameworks for both UI and API applications, specifically with UFT (Unified Functional Test by Micro Focus) hybrid framework
- Good experience with SQL queries (select, update) and database maintenance (create/alter table, create/alter column)
- Experience with integration within Azure pipelines of UFT, Postman, and Performance Center (AKA LoadRunner Enterprise, LRE) tests
- Experience working with ALM as repository and scheduler for UFT
- Experience of automated API testing with Postman
- Experience of automated API testing with UFT
- Experience with Azure (ADO)
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Experienced working with globally diverse teams
Job Responsibilities:
- Represent Reinsurance QA automation and performance testing team
o Champion the understanding the benefits and constraints of test automation
o Collaborate with Product Owners within Reinsurance to help drive identification of priority and impactful functionality for effective automation and performance test
o Mentor and train QA team members on automation & performance test methodologies, tools, and techniques
o Manage a small team of automation and performance testers
o Interact with the QA Platform team, as needed
- Proactively evaluate current strategy and identify improvements in the automation & performance test capabilities (framework, process, tools, etc.) that will improve and optimize the quality
- Identify and execute automation and performance initiatives (roadmap) and drive a multi-year strategy to meet our goals
- Maintain and enhance capabilities of automation framework, such as modularity of the framework, develop utility functions for re-usability as well as ease of design and maintenance, method for Failure Analysis of failed Automated test cases, ensure capture of data points for key metrics, test data templates, etc.
- Facilitate the ability for QA colleagues to trigger unattended automation test execution (i.e., integration of tests within Azure pipelines, schedule runs).
- Develop and promote best practices for automation and performance test to enable QA colleagues to develop effective strategies and test plans
- Demonstrate technical expertise in automation and performance test
- Host effective meetings presenting status of QA automation and performance testing
- Report automation metrics
