Job Description
Server Management for Windows
As Windows servers specialist you are responsible to design, install, administer, and optimize overall control of a server. Provide technical support to ensure a high degree of Customer Happiness through Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Process Compliance and perform business impact analysis and risk assessments to reduce the likelihood of significant service outage or disasters
Windows Server L2 Support:
- Preparing Daily checklist
- Should be aware of ITIL process.
- Review of daily/weekly/monthly checklist
- Support to L1 and L2 support team
- Repeat Incident / Alert Analysis
- Managing / reconfiguring terminal services, cluster services, file servers, CA Servers & KMS
- Necessary support for restoration or drill
- Preparation of MIR for Major Incidents
- Reinstallations raise due to incidents
- Vendor coordination
- Incident / Request Fulfilment / Change management
- Managing and Review Server Inventory.
- Shared Drive access review.
- Preparation of RCA for Major Incidents
- Manage PowerShell scripting.
- Performance tuning suggest by OEM
- Updating and maintenance of Availability, Capacity management
- Risk Analysis and mitigation planning
- Continual Service Improvement Planning and executions
- Planning and execution of DR Drills based on availability of DR setup and recovery procedures (Applicable if the DR is in scope)
- Preparing, maintaining and updating of SOP and KBase
- Maintaining and updating of Infra AS IS / Infra Documents
- Incident / Reinstallations and configurations raised due to Incident
- Problem / Change management
- Support for Windows Clustering
- Coordinate, escalate and follow up calls as and when necessary
- Root-cause analysis, problem resolution, 24/7 monitoring
- Preparing, maintaining and updating of SOP and Base
- Co-ordination with L3 Support team for maintain the SLA.
- Participate in 24x7 shift coverage & Keep time entry up to date within 24 hours
- Strictly adhere to the internal policies, processes, and procedures
