Engineer Process (Caustic Soda) - Pondicherry @ Pyramid Human

Job Description

The incumbent should be a BE / B.Tech - Chemical with minimum of 3 - 5 years of process experience in Chemical / Specialty Chemical / Alkalis Industry.

Note: First preference will be given to candidate who are having experience in Alkalis industry.

Job Location: Pondicherry

Job Description:

• To achieve the target production of all products.
• Ensure no compromise is made on the process standards parameters and restrict the down time to the lowest minimum.
• Conduct periodic inspection of manifolds (trucks) and ensure compliance with all safety norms.
• Oversee the Changing over of chlorine storages (both service and filling) by operators depending on the requirement.
• Cross checking on operators in maintaining process parameters.
• Quick decision making to stop the plant in case of any abnormality noticed which require definite stoppage of plant and communicate to superior.
• Ensuring the plant has undergone a safe shut down sequence.
• Safe start-up of plant as and when required.
• Compilation of important shut down jobs.
• Execution of jobs during unexpected shut downs.
• Providing hands on training for Technicians.
• Ensuring proper housekeeping of the sections.
• Preparing and maintaining SHEMS documents of Process Dept. take part in internal audits as and when scheduled.
• Evolving systems/procedures for better performance of the plant operations integrating with SHEMS.
• Execution of electrolyser re-membrane job including its material planning.
• Execution of electrolyser related shut down jobs.
• To generate process related daily, weekly and monthly reports.
