Job Description
Responsibilities:
Leadership & End to End Ownership:Lead would need to own each aspect of technology for the platform and drive robust collaboration with various stakeholders. This would encompass current and day to day execution as well as laying out the medium- and long-term roadmap.
The role requires ensuring that the right delivery practices are put in place as well as continuously improved such that the right business and technology outcomes can be achieved - in full alignment with the business.
On design & development the focus is on ensuring that the right software engineering techniques are implemented across different technology stacks Cloud Native, Big Data, Advanced Analytics being the key areas of focus currently. Overall, the teams continually Optimize the Build processes and practices.
The production management function ensures Optimization of Operate practices and continually endeavour to have the right tools that eliminate toil and bring more value to the table. The key outcome herein is to make sure that the processes implemented create a stable and resilient set of applications and continuous improvement in the various metrics.
The SRE practices drive the use of the right tools, measurement & metrics to drive optimization across build and operate functions.
The role requires creating the right environment, inputs such that innovation and experimentation are made integral to every function undertaken by the team a part of their DNA; to ensure that the respective Agile teams (tribes) not only undertake the completion of the required tasks but continually think of more efficient ways to do the same and deliver greater value.
All of these dimensions require attracting and maintaining the right talent in the team; also the creation of the right risk and control culture within the team.
Strategy:In this capacity, Lead would be responsible for the roadmap to achieve the target state of the platform with calibrated steps. The role requires the continuous evaluation of different technology stacks, tools, techniques on one hand and the business asks on the other hand with an indictive as well as deductive approach. This must be undertaken in alignment, and to add to the overall organizational strategy. Focus on emerging technologies, advanced analytics, productization and commercialization of software assets would be a key aspect of the role.
Collaboration and Support: Role requires a need to create the effective working relationships with all the key business and support unit senior stakeholders across the banks geographical footprint. To create the effective collaboration with platform team in Singapore and various Technology units such as other LOBs, SRE team. Last but not the least create and strengthen relationships with key external parties and partners. This would be essential to drive the over Platform engagement, enable required outcomes, contribute to the overall organizational strategy.
Continuously engage, motivate team members, and inculcate the organizational agenda within team.
