Job Description
Role & Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements
- Create/modify high/low level infrastructure and cross functional design, techno-commercial proposals to meet customer requirement
- Present designs to customer and get sign-off during project execution phase
- Lead all conversations with vendor for any technical requirement during pre-sales or project execution pahses
- Handle vendors communication to design required architecture (especially non IT related vendors)
- Handle pre-sales activities like Sizing efforts and duration as per technical work involved
- Assist project/program manager and sales team in completing pre-sales related technical documents. It could be customer demanded projects or RFPs/RFIs
Required Candidate Profile:
- Be responsible and accountable for the implementation of design, functional testing, UAT and handover (to BAU and customer)
- Must be proactive to pick topics, work on them, drive and close
- Ability to understand and design the business resilience and data centre strategies for customers across technology.
- Ability to perform independently consulting assessment reviews and assisting client organization with development, execution and testing of overall solution.
- Intimate knowledge and understanding of the methods used in performing risk analysis and business impact analyses
Knowledge:
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively in English
- Comprehend, document and strategies customer & business requirements
- Hands on experience in delivering high value System Integration projects.
- Hands on experience in DC Migration projects migrating IT Assets (Servers, Storage, Network) from one data centre to another.
- Must have deep understanding on various aspects of technology such as (not all of them though);
- Servers (UNIX and Wintel)
- Consolidation and Virtualization
- Data centre migration.
- Azure cloud subscription model, admin and architecture
- Storage and backup
- Data centre build and implementation
- Network (LAN and WAN)
- Disaster Recovery/BCP
- Database (Oracle/SQL/DB2 etc)
- Strong technical background in one of the core IT Infrastructure areas like Platform/Network/Database (L3 or above)
- Deep understanding about the buildup of a Data center. Should have been part of atleast a couple of Data center builds.
- Deep understanding of DC operations
