Roles and Responsibilities
Minimum skills required:
- Demonstrable ability to gather requirements, analyze, question and produce technical documentation
- Provide technical development expertise to convert business requirements into appropriate technical solutions
- Experience in Build Management tools like G3, Code repository GitHub and some experience in continuous integration.
- Proven and successful experience developing large scale software solutions in more than one language, for example, JavaScript, Java, and so forth.
- Working exposure of Core Java, Java Spring boot, Spring DI, Spring MVC, Angular JS 6 or above and Python as well as possessing expertise in cloud platforms such as Google and / or AWS.
- Working exposure of Micro services architecture and framework, API development
- Working exposure of scheduling / workflow tools like Control+M, AWD and Activiti and GUI Development using HTML5, JavaScript, ReactJS, Angular etc.
- Working exposure of configuration management tools such as Ansible and Puppet and BDD automation framework like cucumber
- Working Exposure of Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, Maven and GitHub and RDBMS like PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL, My SQL or No SQL like MongoDB
- Working exposure with configuration management tools, for example, Puppet or Chef as well as a vast knowledge in high-availability approaches such as failover, load balancing, clustering, and risk-management. Proven ability to work across regions whilst maintaining a global perspective
Good to have :
- Excellent understanding of Custody / Treasury and Funds
- Good to have working knowledge of JAVA and working experience on Cloud (preferably Google Cloud)
- Awareness of internal frameworks like Agile methodologies and best practices
- Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and business sponsors
- Clear communication and ability to translate complexity into plain language
- Problem solving and critical thinking
- Experience of working in environments with digital and data technologies is highly desirable (but not essential)
- Proactive risk and issues management
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with people at all levels in the business
- Self-motivator, able to work alone but also able to understand when to ask for help
