Job Description
Qualification: LLB, LLM. CS will be a Plus.
Yrs. Of Experience: 4 5 years of experience in the Media industry
Job role:
Drafting, advising, reviewing and negotiating agreements for the production house and its key stake holders which includes agreements for movie production, endorsements, artist agreements, agreements in relation to events and appearances, in-film contracts, copyright related contracts, license agreements, service provider agreements for IT and Administration department, engagement agreements with consultants vendors and third party service providers, leave and license agreements, sales agreements, general contracts etc.
Responsible for documentation & drafting of legal matter and handling all legal issues during pre-postproduction activities of the past & upcoming projects.
End-to end handling of trademark prosecution matters, registration of IPs and domain names.
Ensuring the adequacy of Directors liability insurance coverage. Ensure safe custody of original agreements, contracts, major court orders, certificate of incorporation of company, commencement of business etc. Overseeing and handling property related transactions. Handling all day-to-day legal issues, transactions and documentation for the production house, its group companies, and the key stake holders.
Advice and provide legal opinions to the senior management and other key stake holders on various legal issues on case-to-case basis related to key business issues.
Identifying compliance issues, setting up various processes and providing solutions. Overseeing compliance of all the group entities.
Drafting, reviewing and finalization of all internal documents for the production house such as IT policy. HR Policy, POSH policy etc.
Handle civil litigation as well as criminal proceedings with respect to production house & related matters with the help of external law consultants.
Attend proceeding of all pending matters with High Court, Magistrate courts, Consumer Courts & other courts. Attend arbitration proceedings. Drafting and sending legal notices to third parties and handling any disputes on behalf of the production house and/or its stakeholders.
Co-ordination & liaison with Advocates/Solicitors/Counsels
