Job Description
Role & Responsibilities:To support the Program Manager in the transfer of knowledge and provision of technology, business and financial support to incubated start-ups.
Manage talent scouting and new admission intakes
Supporting & enabling innovation for start-ups through providing services including, technology, business, legal services and conducive environment for start-ups
Provide start-ups with technology and business support with relevant tools and mentorship
Support organizing and/or participating in local, regional & international networking and showcasing events for the incubated start-ups (investment forums, innovation events, Technology Road Shows, etc.)
Facilitate access for the scaled-up start-ups to raise funds from potential local/regional angel investors/customers/VCs
Contribute to the assessment of Risin incubated start-ups
Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with relevant stakeholders (potential partners, academia, and industry experts)
Provide support to incubated start-ups in exit planning and sustainability
Coordinate internships to help start-ups overcome lack of resources and spearhead their development
Work with the program manager for planning, program design and structure, program delivery and execution for the Accelerate Programs (Investor and Cofounder matchmaking program, Enterprise hackathon/ use-case challenges, Regional and International Go to Market).
Requirements:
The Start-Up Support Specialist should have a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience with research skills. Postgraduate with preferably MBA degree.
Should have demonstrated effective oral and written communications skills in Arabic and English.
At least 4-5 years experience working with entrepreneurs, start-ups, incubator, or incubation consultancy.
Demonstrated ability to cultivate, build and maintain strong working relationships with start-ups, entrepreneurs, mentors, universities, research institutions, industry experts, associations, government entities, angel investors and VCs.
