Job Description
-Understand functional requirements-Participating in design reviews with technical/functional requirements
-Ability to independently code and carry out unit testing.
-Production of design specifications and estimates for new pieces or work
-Participating in estimations for work and ensuring quality and timely deliverables
-Producing code to the specification within agreed estimates and timescales
-Linux server configuration for deployment , setting access rights, automating build and test process using tools like bamboo etc
-Responsible for understanding Java architecture and suggesting/ improving the current architecture
-Following current quality standards and procedures and guiding team members on the same
-Carrying out peer reviews
-Acting as an expert in defined areas of the system
-Liaising with Testing and Product to resolve complex issues
-Investigating and resolving complex support calls and bugs
-Reporting on progress to the Development Manager regularly
-Escalating major issues to the Development Manager in a timely manner
-Following current configuration management procedures so that correct versions of the code are available for build
-Good communication skills
