Job Description
Dear All,
We have a Vacancy for the post of Process control engineer for Saudi for Steel pipe manufacturing industry
1. Purpose:
To ensure that records of Job Descriptions are identified, maintained andupdated with regard to the human resources programme.
2. Main Tasks:
To be fully conversant with the systems used on the production machinery and
capable of investigating the hardware and logic with regard to process
modifications and faults arising.
To carry out detail design of systems using programmable logic (especially
Siemens) and proprietary software.
To be able to specify components, both electronic process devices and associated
displays, cabinets, transducers etc.
To maintain a library of industry systems information and proprietary equipment.
To carry out analysis of requirements and detail design of machinery components
for, among others, motors and controls (DC and AC), sensors and instrumentation,
AC and DC drives, LV controls inc. push-button stations, PLC control systems
(especially Siemens), and specialized applied systems such as Rexroth, U&S
welding control, etc.
To ensure that all safety regulations and guidelines are followed.
To supervise, monitor, instruct, and train as appropriate industry staff and contractors
as required with regard to the above.
To delegate the above tasks within the department with due regard to the
competencies available, instruction, monitoring and training required.
4. Other Tasks:
Prepare contracts and purchase requirements.
Estimate project time-scales and have responsibility for the progress and cost of
approved projects.
Prepare reports on project proposals as required.
Ensure documentation for installations is recorded within the industry system and
supported by contractor's and manufacturer's reference data.
Ensure industry library contains adequate up-to-date literature and relevant industry
standard documents.
Assist with breakdown's to production machinery when engineering input is
required.
5. Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Graduate of Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or Electrical and Electronic
Engineering course from a university or technical college of reputation acceptable
to the company.
3 years minimum of training and experience as a tradesman within one or more of
the fields of electrical installations, electrical maintenance, electrical machinery
repair and manufacture, or applied process control,
12 years minimum experience within the field holding a position of
demonstrable professional responsibility for design, specification and
installation related to the field. The design requirement is of particular
importance.
Experience of line management of knowledgeable electrical and process
engineering.
Fluency in both written and spoken English language is essential.
