Description About the Role
UKG is looking for an experienced, hands-on, Django Engineer to serve as a team player in the External Technologies Partner organization. You will play a key role in the development of one of our next generation SaaS offerings, while working in a highly collaborative and agile environment.
You will be working on a new responsive and accessible SaaS-based data warehousing solution that is used by high profile companies across retail, manufacturing, healthcare, and many other industries. The candidate must demonstrate good analytical abilities, attention to detail and verbal & written English communication skill. You'll be embedded on an agile development team. You'll get to work directly with other Developers, Product Analysts, Managers, and Directors, all of whom are dedicated to supporting our client's complex technical issues and providing the Ultimate customer experience. In this highly collaborative environment, you will have the opportunity to grow as a Django Engineer and help mentor others. As one of our team members, you will be part of our continued improvement, growth, and expansion of coverage for our Workforce Management Software Solutions.

Qualifications Roles and Responsibilities:
. Must be able to understand and communicate industry best practices for API and web service development in Django.
. Understands architecture and methodologies for UI/UX designs and correlating backend API development.
. Has good working knowledge of basic front-end technologies like Javascript, HTML, CSS.
. Must be able to directly interact with other UKG Analytics consultants to gather and document required information effectively and provide recommendations to product owners relating to the required changes needed.
. Must be flexible for taking calls in the evening with US team members. In certain scenarios, they will be required to support major releases and upgrades during US hours.
. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications:
. 5+ years of hands-on in Python and SQL.
. 4+ years of experience in Django
. 2+ years in frontend technology like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
. 5+ years working within a truly agile development team.
. Cloud-based Microservice development experience required. (Google Cloud Functions, AWS Lambda, etc..)
. Google Cloud Experience a plus, any cloud required. (AWS/Azure)
. Google Services - Big Query, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub a plus
. Proficiency with Git as a version control system
. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
