Job Description

Cerners PopHealth team is excited to inform you that we are looking for an experienced engineering team lead to help design, develop and operate solutions that are core to our platform. The organization is tasked with providing a premier health care platform as a service for developing, delivering software solutions and services. As a Team Lead|Engineering Manager, you will lead, support and grow a development project team, own responsibility of overall team performance and results and direct the project team in estimation. You would analyze, design, code, debug, test and modify software enhancements and/or new software and provide high-level architecture guidance and create strategic technical designs for projects of small scope within the given solution area. Additionally, you will consult with stakeholders on current functionality and complexity of adding new features to develop software specifications, translate business problems into functional work estimates at the component level for current and future projects, and mentor associates across the organization. Required Candidate profile

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Engineering Computer Science Software Engineering, or related field.

• At least 3 years' of experience in managing engineering teams and own accountability for the design and code quality of applications.
• 
  
• At least 7 years' of Ruby on Rails programming experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 3 years' of experience working in a Healthcare IT company

Expectations:

• Willing to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Willing to learn new technologies as needed
• Willing to travel as needed
• Willing to work overtime and irregular hours when needed
