Job Description

Requirement : Proposal Engineer (on Third-party Payroll)

Company: Instrumentation / Process Automation industry

Location; Kalwa, Mumbai

Experience:

2 years relevant experience in Estimation / engineering of automation systems (process automation area preferred)

Educational qualifications:

Necessary: Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical engineering

Optimum: Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical engineering

Description:

Key responsibilities / tasks:

1. Understand customer requirements (via RFQ, input from sales / interaction with customer)

2. Prepare Solution architecture meeting customer requirement under guidance from proposal manager

3. Work out bill of material / costs for the solution to be proposed

4. Work out & document deviations between solution offered vs customer requirements

5. Prepare customer proposal, submit the same for internal review / sign-off

KPIs

1. Accuracy of the delivered proposal (Technical and cost accuracy)

2. Number of proposals delivered within given time / response time per proposal

3. Complexity of the proposals handled

Skills

1. Microsoft office suite like Excel, word & powerpoint / visio

2. Good at formal written communication in English to be able to interpret inputs / document offerings / deviations

Position Know-how :

• Experience in preparing Turnkey C&I projects / Experience in preparing Government Tenders for Chemical/Petro-chemical / Water industry
• Conceptualization of project requirement
• Experience in understanding validation requirements and hazardous area
• Understanding of automation technology / solutions (process automation area preferred)
