Senior DevOps Engineer @ Standard Chartered

Job Description

We are currently seeking for a DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in DevOps flow with strong handson experience on CI and CD. In this role, you will research, provision, deploy, administer & support tools around DevOps. You will setup up the High Availability instance, onboard new teams, assist teams on the usage, help migrate data from any legacy tools to the latest one.

• Setup of tools related to DevOps ie Ansible, Build Automation tools, Jenkins, Webservers, Database, Shell Scripting, Docker, Kubernetes
• Setup, upgrade & maintain instances on AWS Cloud
• Automation of backups and monitoring of services
• Ensure high availability and performance of the Instance.
• Setup integrations to other software engineering tools in the DevOps pipeline
• Responsible for writing the Ansible Playbooks for orchestration
• Provide guidance on how to use the tool and help them to integrate into their CI/CD
• Gather the user feedback, recommend and execute improvements.
• Able to bring in Security aspects to the Devops flow (DevSecOps)

• • Bachelors Engineering degree in Computer Science or relevant field
  • 5+ years overall in software development.
  • Strong hands-on experience on CI and CD tools and automation
  • Expert on Git,Github,Jira,Jenkins, Docker, k8s, Scripting
  • Very good understanding on network topologies
  • Expert on cloud compluting (AWS)
  • Good knowledge on security policies, standard guidelines and procedures
  • Experience with Jfrog Artifactory and Jfrog Xray is a plus.
  • Experience in working with stakeholders in other countries (including Europe, North America)
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodologies (Kanban, SCRUM, SAFe, Sc**m@Sc**e, Lean Agile)
  • Knowledge in Software Development Life cycle, CI/CD, DevOps practices.
  • Strong knowledge in Application Security and related practices.
  • Excellent skills in technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, Attention to detail, team-player mindset, positive attitude are key to thrive in this role
